Putting your site online
SandraCMS can send your website to your own web space every time you publish. Setting that up is one file.
What to do
1. In SandraCMS, open your site → Publish, and enter your website address — just the address people visit. 2. Download the file it makes for you. 3. Upload it to your web space — the same folder your home page is in. 4. Open it in your browser. It will tell you whether your server can run it. 5. Press Publish.
That is the whole setup. The file already knows where your site goes and carries its own key, so there is nothing to configure and nothing to type in.
What your web server needs
| PHP 7.0 or newer | Anything from the last decade |
| Somewhere to write | The folder your site is served from |
That is the whole list. Nothing to install, no extensions to switch on, and nothing to ask your host for.
The file you download checks both and says so in plain words if something is wrong — so you can upload it and find out before you commit to anything. If your PHP is too old to run it at all, it says that too.
Afterwards
Publishing replaces the pages it put there last time and removes any that are no longer part of your site. It never touches anything else — files you uploaded yourself, folders your host created, and the deployer itself are all left alone.
If a publish is refused — a file it will not accept, a server that has changed — nothing is altered. Your website stays exactly as it was and SandraCMS tells you why.
If you need a new key
Tick issue a new key when you save, download the new file and upload it over the old one. The previous key stops working straight away, which is what you want if the old file ever ended up somewhere it should not have.
